MEET
STACEY

I am a 6th generation Tasmanian, born and raised in Devonport. I started my career in Sydney  after completing an Arts/Asian Studies degree at the Australian National University in Canberra, and a postgraduate scholarship at Showa University in Tokyo.

I have always worked in property, with my main area of interest in master planning and creating spaces that people can enjoy. I have a Graduate Diploma in Urban Estate Management from UTS, Sydney, a Diploma in Agency Management from the REIT and I am also a Certified Strata Community Manager through SCA.

Volunteering is in the family DNA, with mum taking me on Meals on Wheels before pre-school, and starting my own club in the 1970’s to remove rubbish from Coles Beach. I am a former President of the Devonport Chamber of Commerce; Cradle Coast Authority Regional Economic Development Steering Group and the PESRAC Regional Recovery Committee for the NW Coast.

Since 2009, I have been Principal of One Agency Collins Real Estate, the family business which I took over from my mum, Geraldine Sheehan, who was a Fellow of the Real Estate Institute. I re-branded the agency and increased its size several years ago, culminating in the business being awarded the Large Regional Office for One Agency in Australasia in 2021, and a finalist in that category every year since.

Through the agency I have also sponsored the DRG People’s Choice Art Prize for Tidal 2.0 for the last decade, and more recently Paper off Skin. We also have long standing sponsorship commitments with a variety of local clubs and codes as well as the Devonport Dog's Home, and Hopes Kitchen until it recently closed.

After a few decades away I returned home in 2009 to be closer to family. I spend my time like most working parents, madly juggling home, work and school, and occasionally finding time to walk the dog along our beautiful walking tracks.
